Course Planning
A variety of things to help you choose your courses and plan ahead to save time and reduce stress when the time comes to select classes.
Is it easy to change streams?
Possible, but is it feasible?
Teacher recommendations are made based upon ensuring students have the ability to achieve success in their registered course. Changes to this process can only be achieved through the following steps:
- Consultation with the subject teacher, Teacher Advisor, and/or Student Services.
- Teacher calls the parent
- Change Form signed if parent is in agreement.
- Department Learning Leader approval & signature, prior to any changes made.
What kind of calculators are needed?
In short, just a graphing calculator.
Most calculators are supported, and there are many available in the school store at a typically lower price compared to other places.
The -3, -4 streams and Math 31 require only a scientific.
For students in Math 10C and either the dash one or dash two programs require students to have a graphing calculator and use it daily.
Commonly seen calculators are the Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus CE or the Casio fx-9750GIII.
